A Stephen Minister is a lay person who has received 50 hours of training in providing emotional and spiritual care in times of crisis, loss, illness, and uncertainty.
Stephen Ministers provide confidential Christ-centered care on a one-to-one basis. Stephen Ministers are sometimes called the “After People.” They are the ones to call after the diagnosis, after the divorce papers have been delivered, after the last child has left for college, after retirement has left you feeling a little at loose ends, after the death of a loved one, or after moving to town and not really knowing anyone.
Stephen Ministers walk with you through any valley you may be experiencing, listening to your concerns and guiding you toward healing. They are not problem solvers, but partners in the healing process.
If you or someone you know could benefit from the confidential spiritual support of a Stephen Minister, please contact our coordinator using the form below.
